Board of Directors Announce First Annual Fundraising Drive

The Freetown Regional Food Pantry needs your support! The Food Pantry has played an important role in addressing regional food scarcity during the Covid 19 Pandemic. We have provided food to families and individuals in need without regard to income level. We have 150 families who visit the Food Pantry on distribution days, serving residents of Freetown, neighboring towns, and Fall River and New Bedford. Through the generosity of Stop and Shop, Amazon, Citizens for Citizens, and many others, we have fulfilled the need for food and other essential personal items in these ongoing difficult times. For Thanksgiving, we were blessed to give out 500 turkeys, fixings, and all. We’re hoping to do the same for Christmas.

But we need your help to continue serving others. To date, businesses such as Cape Cod Aggregates, AJ Soares Construction, J&R Precast, KR Rezendes, St. Michaels Federal Credit Union, Hillside Realty, Empire Ford, C&R Appliances, Preferred Concrete, and Borges Brothers Trucking have all provided much-needed financial and operational support. We provide our food distribution services through the help of many volunteers. Students from the Freetown-Lakeville Regional School District, the Girl Scouts, Freetown Highway Department, and other community groups provide the day-to-day help with unloading trucks, stocking shelves, and doing the tasks needed to keep the Food Pantry up and running. We are grateful for everyone’s help!

However, to continue this critical work, we rely on the generosity of regional businesses and individuals like you! Your support helps us cover essential costs such as insurance, heat/cooling, maintenance, and cleaning. Please consider donating to the Freetown Regional Food Pantry today. We appreciate your support. Thank you!
